Hi, I’m Sara.
Connect & Reflect Therapy — Telehealth, New Jersey
People are often shaped by messages they never chose to believe about themselves.
Sometimes those messages come from childhood. Sometimes they come from relationships, loss, trauma, addiction, expectations, or the roles we’ve spent years trying to live up to. Over time, those messages can become so familiar that they begin to feel like facts.
I don’t believe they are.
There are parts of people that have been waiting a long time for someone to finally understand them. Not to judge them. Not to fix them. Not to tell them who they should be. Simply to understand them.
That is at the heart of why I became a therapist.
I’ve always been drawn to understanding people — not just what they’re struggling with, but how their experiences shaped the way they see themselves and move through the world.
Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside adults navigating trauma, anxiety, substance use, grief, relationship challenges, and major life transitions.
No two people experience healing the same way. Because of that, therapy here doesn’t feel like following a script or checking boxes. Every person brings a different story, different strengths, and different experiences into the room. My role is to meet you where you are and remain curious about what has brought you here.
I don’t believe people should have to earn compassion before they deserve support.

How I Show Up For You
People are often stronger than they realize. Sometimes life’s experiences make it difficult to see that strength.
I’ve worked with people who spent years carrying responsibilities they were never meant to carry alone. People who became so focused on surviving that they lost sight of themselves somewhere along the way. People who learned to put everyone else’s needs before their own. And people who quietly came to believe that asking for help meant they had somehow failed.
Some days we’ll celebrate progress. Some days we’ll sit with uncertainty. Some days we’ll challenge long-held beliefs that no longer serve you.
Through it all, my hope is to be a steady presence while we make sense of your experiences together. Not because I have all the answers, but because meaningful change often begins when someone finally feels understood.
When therapy is working, it usually isn’t because life suddenly becomes easy. It’s because people begin talking about the things they’ve carried in silence for years. The conversations they’ve never felt safe enough to have. The beliefs they’ve never questioned. The parts of themselves they’ve hidden because they thought no one would understand.
Those are the moments I feel most grateful to be a therapist.
Because when my clients begin seeing themselves differently, everything else begins to change.

A Little About My Background
Over the past several years, I’ve had the privilege of working in mental health and substance use treatment with adults navigating a wide range of experiences. I work with clients across New Jersey through telehealth — which means you can access support from wherever feels most comfortable to you.
My areas of focus include trauma, substance use, anxiety, and life transitions. I was drawn to this work not from a textbook, but from a deep belief that people deserve someone in their corner. That belief has shaped everything about how I show up for my clients.

I am currently in the process of becoming EMDR trained and working toward full certification — because trauma deserves more than talk therapy alone. EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a highly researched, evidence-based approach that helps the brain process and heal from trauma, distressing memories, and deeply held negative beliefs. Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR works by engaging the brain’s natural healing process — allowing clients to work through painful experiences without having to relive or retell them in detail. It is widely recognized as one of the most effective approaches for trauma recovery.
No matter what we use, the foundation stays the same — you are the expert on your own life. My job is to help you access what is already inside you.

Outside the Office
I think it matters that your therapist is a real person — someone who actually lives the things they talk about in session.
You might find me hiking, playing volleyball, or solo traveling somewhere new in the world. I’m drawn to experiences that pull me fully into the present — whether that means jumping out of a plane or floating quietly in the ocean at 4am. I believe in doing the things I encourage in others — rest, joy, and a little bit of adventure.
Ready When You Are
If you’ve made it this far, thank you for taking the time to get to know me.
Finding the right therapist is an important decision, and I know it can feel vulnerable to begin. Whether you’re ready to schedule a consultation or simply exploring your options, I hope you leave this page knowing one thing:
Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to carry it alone anymore.
